I taught a painting workshop at a beach house in Peurto Rico. I was up early and out for a daily walk on the beach with my camera in hand. What a peaceful, invigorating way to jump start the day. I took a lot of shots because it looked different every day. Sun, clouds, wind, water, and shoreline were in constant flux. This is one of many small paintings I did in search of a decisive plan for a big canvas ("Fortune" 55"x67" http://www.carolinejasper.com/P2_water/Fortune.html ).
